What I Wish I Knew About NCERT Books Class 10 English In My 10 Boards.

As a student who has recently appeared for the Class 10 board exams, there are a few things that I wish I had known about NCERT books Class 10 English before I began my preparation. While these books are a staple for students preparing for their exams, a few things would have made my preparation process smoother and more effective.

First and foremost, I would like to know about the comprehensive coverage of the syllabus offered by the NCERT books. As a student, I often relied on multiple sources for my preparation, leading to confusion and a need for clarity about the concepts. If I had known about the thorough coverage of the syllabus offered by the NCERT books, I would have focused on these books alone and saved myself the hassle of juggling multiple resources.

The NCERT books Class 10 English contain two primary texts — “First Flight” and “Footprints Without Feet”. “First Flight” is a comprehensive textbook that covers all the key concepts and topics prescribed in the Class 10 English syllabus. In addition, it includes a variety of texts, such as poems, stories, and plays, which help students develop their reading, writing, and comprehension skills. “Footprints Without Feet” is a supplementary reader that comprises a collection of short stories and poems that aim to enhance students’ language skills and broaden their literary horizon. If I had known about these texts earlier, I would have thoroughly gone through them and understood the concepts covered in them.

Another thing I wish I knew about the NCERT books’ emphasis on language development. These books provide a wide range of exercises and activities that help students practice and apply the concepts they have learned, improving their language skills. As someone who struggled with grammar and vocabulary, I wish I had known about these exercises earlier, as they would have helped me improve my language skills significantly.

One more thing that I wish I knew about the NCERT books Class 10 English is their focus on value education. The texts included in these books are selected keeping in mind their ability to impart moral values and lessons to students. The poems and stories contained in these books cover a wide range of themes, helping students understand and appreciate the importance of values such as friendship, love, bravery, and compassion. As someone who values moral education, I wish I had known about these texts earlier, as they would have helped me imbibe these values more meaningfully.

Apart from the texts included in the NCERT books, I wish I had paid more attention to the exercises and activities provided in these books. These exercises help students practice and apply the concepts they learned, improving their language and critical thinking skills. As a student, I often skipped these exercises, thinking they were less critical than the final. However, these exercises help students understand and internalise the concepts covered in the texts.

Another thing I wish I had known about the NCERT books Class 10 English is the importance of time management. These books provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter, and allocating sufficient time to analyse them thoroughly is essential. As someone who tended to procrastinate, I wish I had known the importance of time management earlier, as it would have helped me complete my preparation more efficiently.

In conclusion, the NCERT books Class 10 English for Class 10 English are an invaluable resource for students preparing for their board exams. These books comprehensively understand the subject matter and help students develop their language skills. Additionally, the texts in these books impart valuable lessons and moral values, making them an essential part of a student’s education. As a student who has recently appeared for the Class 10 board exams, there are a few things that I wish I had known about these books before I began my preparation. If I had known about the comprehensive coverage of the syllabus offered by the NCERT books, the emphasis on language development, and the focus on value education, my preparation process would have been smoother and more effective. Additionally, if I had paid more attention to the exercises and activities provided in these books and managed my time better, I would have been better equipped to perform well in my exams. In hindsight, I realise the importance of these factors, and I hope that other students preparing for their exams consider these aspects while preparing for their exams.
